Environmentally friendly, how ?

All our solid coloured suits are made, inside and outside, with Amni Soul Eco, the world's first biodegradable yarn and faster decomposed once on the landfill. The fabrics will turn into biomass within 28 months instead of 11 years like other traditional materials. For our printed suits we use biodegradable lining and fabric made of recycled plastic bottles because we have not yet reached the high minimum order policy the manufacturer demands for print on biodegradable fabric, but we are close and working hard to fill up this gap. Our patterns are all printed with water based ink, free from heavy metals. 100% of the water used in the printing process is reused and the amount of water used with digital printing is ten times less when compared to the traditional printing process. We keep all of the scraps of fabric and produce size xs and s pieces in triangle tops and string tie bottoms and 95% of all waste generated by fabric manufacturers goes for recycling. Our care labels are made of paper. They usually shrivel up after a few washes but because they end up being cut out anyways we thought it was the best sustainable solution. We package our suits with packaging material from @ecoenclose and @noissueco, recyclable and compostable materials. We never negotiate the price of labor and we pay the full price in all of the steps of our productive chain.

Who makes your suits and where ?

Our suits are sewn by a team of talented seamstresses we very much admire, led by Taysa Sgrott. They are made in Floripa-SC, in the south of Brazil where our founder, Maria Ana Moura, has roots.

Where does the material come from ?

The fabric and elastics are made in São Paulo-SP, Brazil, and the care labels and hang tags are made by a small family owned business in Floripa-SC, also in Brazil.

What suits are biodegradable ?

All our solid colored suits, self and lining are made with Amni Soul Eco®, the world’s first biodegradable polyamide yarn. For our printed suits, the lining is biodegradable and fabric is made of recycled plastic bottles.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly ?

Yes. We pack our suits with clear bags made with 100% recycled content made by @ecoenclose and biodegradable logo stickers made by @noissueco. ( When in Brooklyn, we drop off your orders at the post office by bike )

Where are you based ?

At this moment in time we are based in Caraíva, Bahia, Brazil. Caraíva is a village where you can arrive only by boat or on foot. Across the river cars are not allowed. This special place is also where we hold our stock and from where we ship. If you find a grain of sand in your package it is because we live and work on the beach front ;)
